Description
Armadale is Skye's back door. It is here that the ferry from Mallaig arrives, providing visitors with an exciting alternative to the Skye Bridge or the Glenelg Ferry.
The hamlet of Armadale is on the Sleat Peninsula, at the south end of the Isle of Skye, and boasts a very attractive sheltered beach.
Armadale (Scottish Gaelic: Armadal) is a village near the southern end of the Sleat Peninsula, on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Like most of Sleat, but unlike most of Skye, the area is fairly fertile, and though there are hills, most do not reach a great height. It looks out over the Sound of Sleat, to Morar and Mallaig.
